9. The Law of Cause and Effect
There is a cause for every effect, and an effect for every cause.
There is no such thing as chance or luck. Nothing happens by chance or outside the Great Laws. Every action generates energy that returns to us in like kind. We "reap what we have sown." There is a relation existing between everything that has gone before, happens now and everything that follows.
Not only our actions, but also thoughts, emotions and words are real causes and they result in direct or indirect effects.
Your thoughts, etc., are sent out into the universe as waves of energy and create ripples in the unified universal field of energy, communicating with everything and everybody around. The energy you send out by your thoughts and actions works like a boomerang. It attracts similar energy and comes back to you in the form of experiences and events. Positive thoughts and actions will materialize into your life as positive effects, and negative as negative results.
Because everybody and everything is connected in the universal field of energy, everybody can have an impact on everybody else, and is affected by the whole universe. In other words, you have an impact on the world just as others have on you.
You may not notice direct effects of your deeds right away, but you can be sure that the appropriate effects will follow.
How to deal with negative effects from the past causes
- Analyse the reasons for the cause, learn and grow from that experience. When the negative effects show up, consider what kind of lessons the universe is trying you to learn? Try to understand, why did they occur? Do they have a repeat pattern?
Remember, all events in life – both positive and negative – are sent to us for a reason. We just need to understand what exactly life is trying to teach us. What lesson?
Once we understand it and fully learn from it, the negative event usually fades or disappears.
Negative causes usually come into our life as a result of our actions or thoughts – both conscious and unconscious. They are never the cause but a consequence either to our actions, or a result of the negative actions of others that affect us (civil and international wars, natural disasters, etc.) To understand whether the negative cause affecting us is the result of our doing in the past can offer us a valuable opportunity for self improvement and spiritual growth.
- Pray. A wholehearted prayer to our Creator for salvation and help involves hope, faith, remorse and resignation to the power of the Divine, and the negative experience in our life usually gets neautralised. Wholehearted prayer generates highest frequencies that have enormous power to significantly reduce or even neutralise almost all heavy low frequencies generated by ourselves.
- Share what you have learned with others by creating something helpful for others, who have had similar difficulties, allowing them to learn the lesson before experiencing the whole force of the negative event. This also allows to transform the negative effects into a positive experience which contributes to building good karma.
Periodical mistakes
Sometimes there are mistakes in your life, which happen again and again. They show up in specific situations or when being together with a particular kind of people, or being challenged with concrete circumstances. When you notice the same situations reoccurring in your life more than once, you may want to think what lesson life is trying to teach you that you are not learning.
If you react to the negative blessings with anger, denial and fear, and do not learn, be sure you will attract more similar events in the future. This will keep happening until you learn what life is trying to teach you. The sooner we understand it and learn from the experience, the sooner we can progress on our spiritual development and once we do, these situations and people will leave our life.
10. The Law of Giving and Receiving
This is a sub law to the Law of Cause and Effect which states that what is given, comes back to us. It is just that the giving source is likely to be different.
The operation of cosmos and our daily life is based on energetic exchange. We are in a constant dynamic exchange with everybody and everything around us. We receive our life energy from many sources: the sun, the ocean, food and from other people. And we also give out our energy to the outer world. Thus, giving and receiving are the two aspects of the natural circulation of energy.
In every relationship we are giving and also receiving, although in some relationship we may function/act as mainly a giver, and in some as mainly a “receiver”. Or in the past we had a relationship in which we acted mainly as a giver, and some time later, we fall into a relationship where we are now in the role of the recipient. This sequence of events of exchanging energy manifests the Law of Giving and Receiving.
The life energy, known in Daosism as Qi, has to be in constant flow because the universal energy is moving all the time.
The Law of Giving and Receiving implies that when you give, you always receive back. The more you give, the more you receive. When you give, pay attention to whether you are doing it from the heart. If you give just because you have to or because of society pressure, as opposed to giving from your heart, you'll lose energy. If you, however, share from your heart truly, you already feel Joy in the Act of giving and your positive energy will multiply and bring you back even more good.
When you give you must do it without having any expectations of receiving it back from the same person. Most of the time it does not work this way and the help and good deed usually will come from the sources you least expect. These are the paradoxes that can be observed, but cannot be explained.
Sharing and giving gifts without expectation of reward, fame or wealth is a true act of a natural and healthy energy flow.
Become aware of what you are exchanging with others in your daily life. Are you giving smiles, joy, attention, love and valuable information, or negative emotions, words, and problems? Because you will receive what you give out.
Generally, to receive something you wish for, learn to give it to others, before or after it has happened to you. It very much applies to love. If you want to be loved open up first and let yourself to love without expecting to receive love back from the same person. It may sound scary and careless but this will be explained in the Love section.
The point is, similar energy frequencies naturally attract each other and the Law of Giving and Receiving will bring you what you seek.
11. The Law of Evolution
The universal energy is in constant flow and change.
Progress and regress are natural stages of evolution, which happens in cycles. One cycle or spiral consists of progress (birth, growth, maturity), which is usually followed by regress (decadence, death) and rebirth. After regress comes a new cycle with progress and so on. It is important to understand the underlying reason for it.
The reason is that the phase of regress (failures, crisis, collapses) makes place for new opportunities and improvement of the existing postulates.
This Law secures new life forms, movements and phenomena giving them a way forward in replacement of the old system.
There is a theory in modern thinking that one of life features, which stimulates spiritual evolution, is reincarnation. The yoga teachings of Yogi Ramacharaka reveal that: "(...) the real Life is really a succession of lives-of rebirths, and that our present life is merely one of a countless numbers of previous lives, our present self being the result of the experiences gained in our previous existences."
"Soul is the Real Man, and not merely an appendage or attachment to his physical body”
Although Catholic church denies reincarnation, it is recognised by many advanced scholars and religions. Whether we believe in reincarnation or not, it is virtually impossible to explain certain events and answer questions without it. The information on reincarnation can be accessed here.
Once reincarnation is taken into equation, the Law of Evolution is well understood and explained.
